Seems like my town is full of gorgeous festivals. Music, stories, food.. Always something once in a while. Loving it.
Food Festival this year had fine weather, lots of stalls, and plenty visitors. Recipes in making were being shown on the stage, while savoury fragrances were tempting and alluring, warm, sizzling, steaming, all looking just gorgeous – wines, beers, hot and cold drinks, breads and pies, cakes and sweets, regional, but also Indian, Spanish, Turkish.. local cooks, bakers, sellers and producers presenting their best, and indeed, it was hard to choose.
I did my round with my simple business cards, to let them know I was there if they needed my services – which was a nice experience – guessing, and then watching their reactions, some smiled and some got uneasy, and in one case I was even told white envelopes always meant something suspicious. Fortunately, mine didn’t.
After that, we took a luscious stroll around the Pantiles, tasted fantastic watermelon juice, lovely roast beef, spicy samosas, and once again, as always gözleme – this time with mince meat, and we liked it as much as the spinach and cheese ones before. And I am already looking forward to trying out more next year again.
